Kirloskar DBxe End Suction Pump
The upgraded DB series, built to EN 733 dimensions with a back pull-out design — the pump can be serviced without disturbing the pipework or motor. Centreline delivery with a self-venting feature, and a Minimum Efficiency Index of 0.7 or better, which matters when the pump runs continuously.
Materials: casing in cast iron, CF8M or CF8; impeller in cast iron, bronze, CF8M or CF8 — so the wetted parts can be matched to the liquid rather than compromised.
Kirloskar KPD Process Pump
A horizontal, single-stage end suction pump built for process plants. Delivery is on the top centre line, the bearings run in oil, and it uses an API flushing plan, so it can handle very hot and very cold liquids.
Kirloskar KDS Monobloc Pump
The workhorse of the range, and the one most people picture when they think of a Kirloskar pump. Pump and motor on a single shaft, so there is no coupling or alignment to maintain. Built for Indian supply conditions — the motor tolerates wide voltage swings, which is what usually kills a pump set in the field.
Why it lasts: CED-coated cast iron parts for corrosion resistance, automatic air release on starting, dynamically balanced rotating parts to limit vibration, and a thermal overload protector on single-phase models. Wearing parts are accessible and replaceable.
Tell us what you're pumping — we'll find the right fit
A pump is not chosen by horsepower alone. The same duty can call for completely different construction depending on what's flowing through it — clean water, effluent, slurry, or an aggressive chemical each demand different materials, seals and impeller design.
Get it wrong and you don't find out immediately. You find out months later through premature seal failure, impeller wear, or a pump that never quite hits its duty point. Share your application with us and we'll recommend a suitable Kirloskar series, size it against your actual duty, and quote it clearly.
- What liquid you're pumping — and whether it carries solids
- Flow rate required, in m³/hr or litres per second
- Total head — vertical lift plus pipe friction losses
- Temperature, and pH if it's a chemical or effluent
- Suction condition — flooded suction or self-priming needed
- Duty cycle — intermittent, continuous, or standby
- Available power supply and any starter preference

Containerised Fire Pumpset
A complete fire protection package in a single container — part of our fire fighting range, for sites where building a pump house is impractical or too slow.
The KBL containerised pump room houses the pumps, control systems and pipework in a standard shipping container. Once it is lowered onto a prepared concrete base, connecting the water and power supplies is all that stands between delivery and an operational system.
Pumping equipment is built to NBC, FM/UL or NFPA fire protection rules and installed in standard container sizes, so it moves by road without a police escort. Everything is assembled, wired and pre-commissioned in the factory rather than on your site.

What can be built into it
Each unit is engineered individually and can incorporate electric and diesel driven pumpsets, control panels, the initiation system, pipework and valves, a test line, main fire protection control valves and a hosereel connection.
Fit-out options
Beyond the pumping equipment, the container can be specified with the services a working pump room needs — so nothing has to be added on site afterwards.

What customers usually ask first
How do I work out the head I need?
Total head is the vertical lift plus friction losses through your pipework, fittings and valves — and the friction component surprises people, especially on long or narrow runs. Give us your layout and we'll calculate it rather than have you guess.
Can I just match my old pump's rating?
Often yes, but it's worth a check first. If the old pump was itself wrongly specified, or your process has changed since, replacing like-for-like just repeats the original mistake. Send us the nameplate and what it's been doing.
Do you supply spares for existing pumps?
Yes. As an authorised Kirloskar distributor we can supply genuine spares. Send us the model and serial number from the nameplate and we'll identify the right parts.
My pump keeps failing. Can you help?
Repeated seal or impeller failure usually points to a specification mismatch rather than a faulty pump — wrong material for the liquid, running away from its best efficiency point, or a suction problem. Tell us what's happening and we'll look at it properly.
